December 5, 2017
The Board of Directors of Buena Vista Lakes Maintenance Association met December 5, 2017; at 6:30 p.m. Bill Rushe
called the meeting to order and led the assembly in prayer.
A roll call of board members was requested. Present were: Bill Rushe, Chuck Scott, Donna Depukat, Yvonne Chaney, John
Harmon, Jo Ann Yager, Diane Barber, and Secretary-treasurer Christy Chavez. A quorum was established.
Association members present were: Martha James, Linda Babb, Donna Miller, Dale and Peggy Wardlow.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the Monthly Meeting of November 11, 2017 were reviewed by the directors. Motion was
made to accept the minutes as presented; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
FINANCIAL REPORTS: The Monthly Financial Statement was reviewed. The motion was made to accept the financials
with no changes; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
Recreation: Pool, Ballfield, Playground:

Mr. Scott thanked everyone for allowing the purchase of the new pool cover.

Ms. Chaney reported that no new letters were sent out.
There was a report of a tree down on Bob White. Mr. Harmon gave an estimate of $500 to cut up and remove the tree.
Mr. Rushe agreed to follow-up with Randy Cole and work on getting two additional estimates.
Permits
Mr. Harmon had one building permit request. Ms. Depukat made the motion to issue the permit. Mr. Scott seconded the
motion, the motion passed 6-0.

Ms. Yager reported rentals.
$35.22 was purchased in clubhouse supplies.
Finance:
There are currently 39 unpaid lots.
Security:
Mr. Scott had nothing new to report.

Ladies Club:
Ms. James shared some of the Ladies Club accomplishments for the 2017 year which included: sending out cards and
taking fruit baskets to the sick and shut-ins, made donations to memorials in in honor of deceased residents, landscaping
improvements, and assisted with the costs of remodeling the clubhouse restrooms.
A few items that the ladies are considering for the 2018 year include: a broom closet in the kitchen, a new self-cleaning
oven, and updating the kitchen.
A request was made to remove the trees around the storage shed due to the recent damage caused by a limb to the shed
roof.
Another suggestion was made to remove the sweet gum balls around the clubhouse. It was agreed that the removal of
the trees around the clubhouse and storage shed would be tabled until next month.
New/Unfinished Business:
The motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting, the meeting adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
