December 14, 2020
The Board of Directors of Buena Vista Lakes Maintenance Association met November 2, 2020; at 7:00 p.m. Ned Plunk
called the meeting to order and Larry Moore led the assembly in prayer.

A roll call of board members was requested. Present were: Ned Plunk, Richard Gatlin, Donny Plunk, Larry Wilson,
Steve Shifflett, Alex Waugh, Larry Moore, and Secretary-treasurer Christy Chavez. A quorum was established.
MINUTES: The Minutes of the Monthly Meeting of November 2, 2020, were reviewed by the directors. A motion was
made to accept the minutes, seconded, and passed unanimously.
FINANCIAL REPORTS: The Monthly Financial Statement of November was reviewed. The motion was made to
accept the financials with no changes. The motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
Board Resignations & Appointments: Mr. Shifflett made the motion that Alex Waugh serve as Lakes and Dams chair,
the motion passed 5-0. Ms. Depukat submitted her resignation effective immediately. Mr. Shifflett made the motion that
Ann Plunk serve as Orange Book chair, Mr. Moore seconded the motion, the motion passed 5-1 with one board member
abstaining.
Finance:
Mr. Shifflett made the motion that the board move forward with judgements on unpaid accounts. Mr. Gatlin
seconded the motion, the motion passed 6-0.
Neighborhood Watch:
Mr. Gatlin reported that everything had went well during the past month.
Ms. Vicki Moore reported 5 calls to the DeSoto County Sheriff’s.

Recreation: Pool, Ballfield, Playground:
Playground & Ballfield:
Ms. Barber reported that one of the infant swings had been moved. Mr. Wilson agreed to move the swing
back and to make sure that the hardware had not been compromised.
Pool
Mr. Wilson had nothing new to report.
Clubhouse:
Donny Plunk reported that he is currently in the process of winterizing the outside restroom.

Maintenance: Lakes & Dams:
Mr. Shifflett reported:
On November 5th Steve Pionk assisted with a beaver hunt; 1 beaver was killed, 2 beavers were shot
and 1 muskrat was shot.
Cracks were cleaned and filled.
Trash and limbs were cleaned up.
Ant beds were treated.
Larry Moore, Ned Plunk, Alex Waugh, and Diane Barber assisted with getting dirt from clubhouse
parking lot and using to fill on the top of spillway #1.
The motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 7:53 p.m.
